5-Amino-1MQ

Also known as: 5-Amino-1-methylquinolinium · NNMT inhibitor

Small-molecule selective inhibitor of nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT). NNMT is upregulated in obese adipose tissue and depletes the methyl donor SAM and NAD+ precursor NMN — inhibition restores cellular methylation capacity and may improve fat oxidation.
